Welcome
The Two Rivers Canoe Club is a marathon or long distance canoe racing club which was formed in 1991 to host the 1991 Canadian National Canoe Racing Championships in Prince George. The Club is for all those interested in racing either recreational or racing canoes.
Every Tuesday evening in May and into June the Club holds a recreational canoe paddling event called the Grand Prix Series where experienced stern paddlers are paired with less experienced bow paddlers to provide instruction on all aspects of canoe racing. This series serves as an introduction to the sport to new members, an opportunity to socialize with fellow paddlers and provides an excellent upper and lower body workout. The series culminates in mid June with a wind up race and picnic. Membership is open to men and women of all ages from early teens to those in their seventies.
Learning to paddle a canoe fast and efficiently is a skill that will benefit anyone who enjoys canoeing.
